How to get legally married
in Cancun, Mexico

Mexico's Civil/Legal Marriage or Matrimonio Civil, is the only procedure that changes your marital status from 'single' to "married."

The Mexican Civil Marriage is legally recognized in the more than 100 other countries around the world that may be or may not be subscribed to an international treaty under the Hague Convention.

Who can Legally Marry People in Mexico?

The civil - legal marriage process is handled by judges from the Civil Registry Office, and generates a Marriage Certificate that as a public document, permanently filed with the State Civil Registry office in
Chetumal, the satate capital of Quintana Roo, México

MY SERVICES
As a pastor, the ceremonies I officiate are symbolic. However, I can assist you in getting everything organized to get legally married in Cancun, Mexico.

My Services Include:
Provide you with detailed required information for the wedding application form.
Fill out the wedding application form, according with the information you provide.
Submit the wedding application form, blood test and medical certificates to the court.
Provide you with all paperwork, government forms, copies of documents etc.
Booking the judge for the date and hour of your choice.
Make appointment for Lab to have tests done.
Pick you up at your resort, drive you to the lab, and drop you back off.
Pick up the test results and medical certificate.
Have you Marriage Certificate to be apostilled at the state capital.
Obtain a certified copy of your marriage certificate.
Mail the Wedding Certificate to your country and home address.
Translate Civil Ceremony (If needed)
Provide your wedding witnesses if you don't bring your own.

REQUIREMENT LIST
For a Civil/Legal Wedding in Cancun, Mexico

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Passport

4 witnesses, (1 copy of their Passport)

A Medical Certificate for the couple

A Prenuptial Blood Test for bride and groom

done in Mexicobefore the Wedding.

OPTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Original Birth Certificate , translated into Spanish by a certified Mexican translator,
Birth certificate must include the Apostille Seal from the Secretary of State of your state or province. IMPORTANT: As specified above, your birth certificates are only necessary if you want your parent’s names printed on the marriage certificate.
The Civil Registry Office will not accept any other ID, other than a valid Passport expedited by your country of birth or citizenship.
Both; the medical certificate and Pre·nup Blood Test must be done in Mexico, within 15 days prior to the Wedding.
