WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?
I serve all of Cancun and Mayan Riviera metro area; including the Cancun hotel zone, Puerto Juarez, Playa Mujeres, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, and Cozumel.
Can you come to our resort to hold the ceremony there?
I have performed ceremonies in some of the most exclusive venues in the area; however, not all resorts allow external vendors on
their grounds. Some resorts will charge you a fee for bringing in an external vendor, while others will require you to get a day pass.
If you are using the resort wedding services, make sure to ask your wedding coordinator about their "external vendors" policy.
If you are not using the resort wedding services or coordinator and would like to have the ceremony on their beach, you still need to ask if they would allow me to have access to the beach. If this is not possible, we will go to the closest public beach near you.
What beach locations do you use?
For small wedding parties I hold most of my ceremonies at a public beach. In most cases, we use the public beach that is closer to your resort.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK YOUR SERVICES?
The best time to save the date is when you have already chosen your ceremony date. Most couples like to book their wedding or vow renewal ceremony months in advance. However, eloping couples have booked with me just a couple days before the ceremony. -
As long as I am available,
I will book your ceremony no matter if is one year, one month, one week, or one day before it takes place. -
What is the difference between a Simple and Custom ceremony?
What is the difference between a Simple and Custom ceremony?
The Simple Ceremony
is a short 5 minute ceremony, it basically includes the Wedding Vows, and the Exchange of Rings -
For the basic ceremony, I use the same wedding script template for all couples. *(The simple ceremony is not recommended for formal or mid-size, large weddings).
The Custom Ceremony lasts from 10 to 20 minutes; depending on the involved rituals. Custom ceremonies are ideal for any group size, or just for the couple. For this ceremony, I would send you a questionnaire with some personal and practical questions to get to know you, and your love story a little better.
Based on your responses, I will write a ceremony script that is
more personal and meaningful to you, which you can review and edit before the ceremony.
Is a permit necessary to hold a wedding on a public beach?
A permit is only necessary for ceremonies that include a Setup decorations, chairs, tables, Archs or Gazebos, etc.
Do you provide sitting, decoration and setups?
I DO NOT!
WHAT KIND OF FLOWERS ARE INCLUDED IN THE BOUQUET?
For your bouquet, you may choose between a dozen Roses or Lilies. Roses are available in most colors, lilies come in white, orange, pink and yellow.

For an additional $20 USD;
You may also choose to combine half dozen Roses with half dozen of Lilies.
NOTE: The $20 upgrade do not
include exotic flowers like Tulips, Hydrangeas, Peonies, Bird of Paradise, Calla Lilies, Lilium, Orquids and Anthurium, as most of these are imported. – *If you are interested in exotic flowers, let me know and I could give you a price quote.
All flowers are subject to availability.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
If it happens to rain the day and time of the ceremony, but it's just a "light rain," the ceremony will not be cancelled nor postponed, we will wait until the rain passes over.
If the rain is persistent, we will re-schedule the ceremony to the following day at the time of
the day where is less likely to rain.
I suggest you schedule the ceremony at least 2 days before your departure from Cancun.
In any case, do not let rain ruin your special day . Do not stress out! - It is your special day, make the best out of it, rain or shine!
Are deposits for Symbolic Weddings refundable?
Once I am committed with a couple, I have to turn down other couples interested on that same date and time. However, I understand that sometimes trips are postponed and even cancelled due to circumstances beyond a couples' control.
In any case, do not let rain ruin your special day . Do not stress out! - It is your special day, make the best out of it, rain or shine!
Are deposits for Symbolic Weddings refundable?

I am willing to make a
full
reimbursement of your deposit, if you cancel
at least
30 days before the scheduled event

Are the Wedding Ceremonies you perform legal?
The ceremonies I perform are Symbolic , in México, a Priest, a Rabbi, or a Christian Minister do not have the power to perform civil marriages, only a judge (justice of peace) from the Civil Registry can.

ARE THE CIVIL WEDDING FEES REFUNDABLE?
Once your Wedding Application has been submitted to the Civil Registry Office and the Justice of Peace has been booked, you
will not be able to get a refund of the Civil Wedding Fees.
DO YOU USUALLY STAY FOR DINNER AT THE RECEPTION?
I DO NOT! - I appreciate when couples invite me to stay for the reception, it's really a nice gesture. However, I don't expect couples
to invite me, and I don't get upset if they don't. When they do invite me, I politely decline the offer, unless I know the couple really well,
or if they really insist. Sometimes I might stay for a few minutes though, for part of the cocktail hour, take pictures, and chat a little, etc.

WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON MARRIAGE?
I believe marriage is a gift from God for the establishment of family and for the wellbeing of humankind.
Furthermore, I believe God honors and blesses the marriage covenant made between a man and a woman of any faith, nation and culture. I believe marriage is a covenant from the heart that is intended to last for a life time.
As a Christian Wedding Officiant, my purpose is to perform a Wedding Ceremony that reflects the couple’s values, without imposing nor compromising my own faith.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK OR CAN'T OFFICIATE OUR CEREMONY?
If for any reason beyond my control I am not able to perform the ceremony, I will contact another wedding officiant at no additional cost to you. I am blessed to be friends with other bilingual wedding officiants here in Cancun, so that shouldn't be an issue to be worried about.
CAN WE HIRE THE WEDDING GUITARIST FOR AN ADDITIONAL TIME?
- ABSOLUTELY!!
CAN WE PAY OUR BALANCE THROUGH PAYPAL?
If you don't want to bring too much cash with you, you may pay the final balance by PayPal; however, you will need to add a 5.5% of the remaining TOTAL AMOUNT, to cover for the payment fee I am charged by PayPal.
IS THIS A SCAM?
*Though I've never been asked this question before, I understand that booking from a distance can make most people nervous; specially when it comes down to placing a deposit. Trust me on this one, I am not going to run away with a few hundred dollars (maybe with a few hundred thousand, NOT!).
I have built my ONLINE reputation with honesty and good service, I am humbled and proud of the numerous positive feedback I've received from past clients. Beyond my business, I am a Christian local Pastor, and I could not afford to give a bad testimony of my service. I thrive to conduct myself with integrity and responsibility, in a professional and ethical manner that reflects what I preach every Sunday at church.
